Terry Berens has to be the worst attorney that I could have chosen! Very condescending and not easy to converse with. If it wasn't for his assistant, Dawn, we wouldn't have been able to get much information on our proceedings. At the end of our case he bailed over a difference of opinion in our case and left us hanging at our last hearing. My wife and I are disgusted with his handling of our case at the end and his lack of professionalism. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of him as representative counsel in your case! Mark Gredianus in the office is the complete opposite and would recommend him to defend your case. He represented me in another matter and was extremely satisfied with him and his assistant. Read some of the other reviews on him, wish I would have!!!

Do not hire Terry Berens. working with a will with my father we hired Terry. He set up the will according to my fathers wishes. after my fathers passing he stopped representing me and took clients outside of family to fight the will he created. He could have never succesed but didnt care. He cost everyone lots of money but he cashed in with legal fees...even knowing he had no chance to succeed. Slime ...pure Slime. This is how my attorney explained it to me after I got an honest attorney which Terry is not in my opinion

In 2009 I Hired Don Nicewander to represent me in an association matter and he negotiated a deal with opposing counsel where my mortgage would remain in my name, but property deed were to be transferred to the opposing counsels name, and had the audacity to try and bill me further. If I would of gone through with that settlement , and suffered a loss, I would have filed a grievance against him like I did to the opposing counsel who is currently facing a Formal Complaint now with Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission. It’s always best to hire representation from Detroit area rather than small town lawyers that lack the legal skill and acumen.

DO NOT HIRE TERRY!!!! He misled me into accepting the worst judgement of divorce ever. Worst parenting schedule ever and he said it would get better over time. 3 years later and nothing better. He does more talking than anything. He sucks. I really hope you enjoy the time with your kids. Would love to see you have my schedule. Trust me hire a family law attorney who does their job and gets back to you. And youll save more money rather than getting ripped off from him and will actually get more time with your children.
