Attorney Leonard served as the Guardian Ad Litem throughout my divorce. She was great with the children and very thoughtful and careful in her evaluation. She fully understood the background, took into account our opinions, and made recommendations to suit the situation. I feel that she was an excellent advocate for my children and am very thankful we had her.

Mary was the GAL for my son. She was very responsive, took the time to see both myself and my ex with our son and was great at looking for a solution that was in the best interest of him. She often encouraged our cooperation and didn't pick sides, rather really pushed us to understand that both our parenting styles and concerns made for a well rounded team for my son. The outcome of this is a very positive coparenting relationship between my ex and I. This has made something very difficult like shared placement so much better for everyone involved. We are now able to do things like share holidays with both families involved. I've had the experience of a GAL who was drastically opposite for my daughter and unfortunately it has caused waves of issues, but has made me really appreciate GALs l

Attorney Leonard has always been quick to respond and provided us with very sound legal advice. Her representation of our family court case was wonderful. Attorney Leonard has a level head, she knows who is who around the courthouse, who's who among GAL's and other important information. When there is a question that needs additional research, she takes her time and finds out the best right answer. I wouldn't want to enter a family court proceeding without her.

Assigned to Mary Leonard in regards to my family case. She was appointed as my family’s guardian ad litem. I was INITIALLY looking forward to working with her hoping there would be some assistance in mediating our issues. Soon as I walked through the door, she already had her mind made up about me and made it very difficult to share my story. I soon realized she became more of an issue and an instigator rather than helping us to find resolve. It became apparent to me that her concern was more about my child's father than my child. She showed favoritism towards him every chance she got and it even showed in court. The commissioner didn't even value her perspective on things as he saw himself ; that she was in fact being bias. I would just like to say that my experience with this law firm was tremendously horrible. First of all, one of their attorneys, a Mary Leonard, did not do her job at all. She was to observe my child, and let both the mother and I know what was going on with our child. She was given the title of Guardian at Litem for my child, per court, and just, to me, collected a check. Telling us something that both the mother and myself already knew. Then when it came to payment, when I was behind, due to financial hardships, and I called her to let her know, so that she does not think I am trying to not pay her.
