By far the biggest scam I’ve ever experienced. At my intake call with Derek Miller, he said he would get me shared custody. I hired him because of everything Derek Miller spoke about during the initial call. This was on the month of December 2024. He made my first custody court hearing on April 2025. Derek Miller filed a motion for child to testify. At first I was not ok with the time span but Derek insisted that I wait 4 months. On the date of the hearing Derek Miller made an agreement with the opposing attorney that didn’t allow for shared custody. I felt deceived. I quickly emailed the judge and confirmed that I was not taking the agreement that Derek negotiated. Why file a motion for child to testify and forget about it the day of the hearing. Terrible attorney. Was told miller was the best in the business and I was highly disappointed after my case. Paid him a pretty penny to defend this simple case and had no effort to do so. Seems like he likes to pick and choose his clients so you’re better off defending your case alone because nothing was done based on my experience.
