I used Michael Pate as my custody lawyer in Henry County. Getting him to answer his phone is completely impossible and getting him to return a phone call is nearly impossible. I had to go to the court house to obtain my own documents that he was supposed to send me and never did. He wrote up my custody agreement completely wrong and instead of returning my phone calls to correct it he continued to mail me bills for his services.

I used Michael for my divorce and he was very attentive and always answered my questions in detail. Although I had to leave messages when I called he replied in a timely manner even though he was running for Family Court Judge. I would recommend Michael for a lawyer in any case.

You will be heavily charged for every little thing. He's fond of appearing in court and rescheduling the hearing for the next month, dragging things out to make more money. Don't expect quick response or resolution. Judge will walk all over you and him both.

He isn't attentive to anything. He won't answer your phone calls and his assistant will just brush you off. He is rude in his manners. I used him for family court and was horribly embarrassed with his lack of effort. Waste of money.
