I have only been in one car accident in my life. I was a passenger in a motor vehicle that was struck by another vehicle. I chose to retain Merritt & Merritt, and it was the worst decision I could have made. The communication was abysmal—and that is not an exaggeration. After signing paperwork for representation, I repeatedly had to chase the firm for updates on my case. Months went by with little to no communication. At the same time, I was attending physical therapy and struggling to regain normalcy in my life, all while feeling completely abandoned by the very people who were supposed to advocate for me. Merritt & Merritt Law Firm has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had. Their lack of communication is unbelievable — they do not follow up, they do not keep you informed, and you constantly have to chase them down for basic updates. On top of that, they show a serious disregard for client privacy and HIPAA standards, which is completely unacceptable for a law office. If you value professionalism, communication, and your personal information being respected, look elsewhere. This firm is not it. I want to thank Merritt & Merritt for the excellent service they provided for me. After the first phone conversation I felt comfortable I had selected the right firm to represent me. I felt they had my best interest and wasn't just feeding me lip service. They kept me informed throughout the entire journey, and enlighten me on why certain decisions were made.
