Beware utilizing Merrill O’Sullivan LLP for Estates and Trusts, they have no commitment to their clients after taking your money. In September 2016, my mother utilized Merrill O’Sullivan to establish and set up a Trust, an Advance Directive, Power of Attorney, and Last Will and Testament. She spent thousands of dollars with the firm in consultation and fees for the filings and paperwork. Unfortunately my mother passed away in October 2023. As the Trustee of the Trust, I contacted Merrill O’Sullivan for consultation of the Trust and Will. After a week of the initial contact, they called me back. Instead of setting up a paid meeting, they told me they did not have anyone at the firm that could work with me, and provided the Oregon Bar Association phone number so I could find another

Called today with an inquiry into representation on a business matter - a tort cause of action - I was directed to speak with an LA - legal assistant - who was not only not at all knowledgable in elements of basic causes of action for larceny or conversion but was dismissive and rude. She was placed to be the gatekeeper and claimed that the attorneys in the firm would not find interest in my matter, without having consulted with them firstly. She was completely ignorant to tort law and immediately dismissive. I know it's hard to find good help, but it's not hard to open a book or train an asset. Called 2 other firms following our call, and consulted with partners within the firms who were willing to explore my case further. Would not advise this firm. Going with a different firm. Not profe
