December 2019, I was faced with a divorce and custody battle. A lawyer friend told me to call up James. I called James and he referred me to somebody else. James McGuire was recommended to me for a family law issue. When I met with him I was told that my fee would be $3,500. After 5 months nothing had been filed in court. Every week I was given a new excuse ranging from bad employees, employees out of town, pulled hamstring, etc. I was told that my ex-wife's attorney was going to be contacted on several occasions which never happened. I ended up with a $13,190 bill for a declaration and motions that were not filed and are having to be redrafted. If you want to spend a lot of money and a lot of time for no results then he's your guy. If you want to move forward with your case without excusing and incurring ridiculous fees then I would look elsewhere.
