Maryland Legal Aid - Allegany/Garrett Office

Of course something that's meant to help people who are low income or aren't made of money is complete trash. I tried calling in because I'm being discriminated against by Maryland wellness being told because of a heart condition that's considered neurological I'm not allowed to get my medicine that I've been on for 2 years and only thing I ever got a hold of with these people here was the fact that the phone kept disconnecting and I had to be on hold for more than 10 minutes only for it to happen multiple times. Completely useless

Might as well not have physical address. They want you to do everything by phone or online doesn't make sense. There's no intake for new clients on Fridays. Someone else referred me to George McKinley he took good care of me for a reasonable rate.

Their web page blatantly lies. It says they help senior citizens, and when my legally blind stepfather who is suffering from Parkinson's disease called them for a referral for tenants not paying rent,and selling heroin out of his rental, rent that he depends on for his medications, they said there was nothing they would do to help him. What a sham!

They are very helpful and caring.. The process to get a lawyer is long so be mindful of that.

Was a waste of time. After first contact for help didn't hear from for 3 weeks and even then it wasn't a Lawyer. DonT bother if you need actual help
