We had a very bad experience with Tom Maronick about five years ago. Because of his lack of attention and focus on our case, he encouraged us to take a guilty plea instead of actually fighting the case as promised. This resulted in a conviction that could have been caught and won in court had he prepared. He talked a good game, got his retainer and then basically did nothing with the case. He didn’t even respond to requests from the Prosecutor. On the morning of the hearing, it was clear that he had not prepared. The Judge was annoyed. I was upset and so was my entire family. I would hope that he has learned from his mistakes. I’m shocked to see him have a 4.7 review on Google when he has a 2.7 on Yelp. My experience with this firm was deeply disappointing. While the initial consultation was promising, the actual representation was severely lacking. After paying my retainer, communication became a major issue. Phone calls and emails went unanswered for weeks at a time, leaving me in the dark about the status of my case.
