It pains me to leave a bad review for attorney Cynthia MacCausland. But please heed my words. Starting a divorce proceeding is horrifying. Hiring someone who is not direct and doesn't answer questions clearly is confusing. Hiring someone who makes mistakes on my financial forms that were filed with the judge is unforgivable. She forgot to list the house I bought and am moving to. She incorrectly listed the worth of the new car I bought. She's a sweet kind person, but I would not recommend hiring her as your lawyer. She didn't fight for me, she was not my advocate. In the time I wasted waiting for this to play out, I could have moved and gotten on with my life.

Cynthia was recommended online by a lawyer referral agency. Because of this I didn't do my own search on her. I wish that I did. She charged a 150.00 consulting fee and a 3,000 dollars flat fee. I was the one to iniate sending documents to her. After a month, I have still yet to receive any answers regarding my case. I even had an appointment with her that she did not show up or even have the decency to cancel. This lady is not ethical and shouldn't be practicing. She emailed me a draft separation agreement that was clearly a template of someone else's case with many visable mistakes and plans that were never discussed. All to just claim that she put in work. Stay away from this woman she is preying on families that are in vulnerable situations.

Cynthia represented me with 2 college education matters. The 1st being advocating for my education accommodations when COVID was at its peak and classes moved to Zoom. Cynthia worked in making the college accountable for their lack of resources via Zoom for students with learning disabilities during COVID. Cynthia worked diligently and was always available to listen to my concerns throughout the duration of the case via phone and email. The 2nd education matter was regarding a college course grading calculation. Cynthia again showed her caring nature and commitment in advocating for what is right. Cynthia worked to get the college to answer questions and provide a more detailed course grade calculation. Cynthia is an experienced and knowledgeable attorney that I would highly recommend to a

I have known Attorney MacCausland to be nothing but a professional. Dedicated to her clients and their situations she has been nothing but understanding and caring. Will recommend to my friends and family.

Ok so now I definitely know this woman is running a scam taking peoples retainers with her flat fee agreement and doing nothing to earn the 2500 she charges. I hired her and fired her and have yet to get any acknowledgment from her about my demand for my money back. I was just contacted by another client she just ripped off as well. This makes 3 of us in the past 3 or four months that I know of. If you have been a victim of hers and that's what we are victims… people in need of legal help in a bind and believing we are paying someone to WORK for us and represent us only to get blown off with little to nothing done...please contact me. The more voices the merrier. This is a lawyer that thinks flat fee agreements mean you make a call or two and get 2500 dollars. Im determined to legally
