My aunt has recently become in need of long-term care, and as a niece (not a daughter) who only recently took over as her caregiver, I was apprehensive about the Medicaid process. I hired Minerva Santiago of Legally Remote to ensure that I made no missteps along the way. She and her team were thorough, communicative, and kind as they guided me through. Yesterday I received the news that my aunt has been approved, and I feel as if an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I’m going to start by saying I am going through an extremely difficult time and have lost count of the number of proverbial plates that I am in charge of spinning. Unfortunately, I can be quite direct, and aggressively pointed when dealing with this level of stress.
