They do not help the most vulnerable people in Los Angeles. They create false hope and waste a ton of time with their administrative policies all of their phone calls, and intakes just basically mail you a list of more phone calls that you have to make and actually no help, pretty much everything I was advised today. I already knew so it was an entire waste of time talking to them. Still left here with no legal aid, mold all over my apartment, a landlord that has been harassing me for months, two disabilities and no one to help!!!! I even disclosed to them that I was domestic violence survivor. See having to share so much just to get such a little in return and waste my. They literally make you talk to them and then act like they’re helping and then the paralegal will send you a reference

My name is Milton and I really had a hard year before I came into this place today, I came in with a little attitude so I was kind of a little rude to Vanessa behind the desk but thanks to her brilliance and her patience and the patience of David who took the time to leave his desk to come out to sit down with me and my wife and explain what needed to go on with our situation for over 45 minutes to us. It's hard to get home of anyone and my 1st experience was grate even won my DV case , but they have no relay or cors to help when that same case turns into something els and gets more dangerous and a crusty case is opened by the abuser it's like no one wants to take my case and it's horable .

We went to an appointment we thought was it's just an hour appointment wound up to be a lovely event in their parking lot with all kinds of resources free dinner and some games for kids plus we got an hour with attorneys to get some help with a landlord tenant issue where we were being harassed to move because they want to sell the property it's a rent control property so having assistance from the legal aid foundation is just amazing The staff was absolutely wonderful respectful treated us with dignity and truly want to help. This location is in the heart of Los Angeles pass downtown. We could have been treated any way and have not been treated well in the past by other agencies this one is special.
