I was told to wait to get my surgery until after my lawsuit because it would delay my case because it was more paperwork (red flag). We settled but but for much. I didn't really want to settle but my lawyer seemed to have given up. I had my surgery and it was far worse than expected. The money did not cover all my medical bills and 4 months of physical therapy. Plus communication was not the greatest. I felt I was doing all the work. Getting updates on my case was like pulling teeth. This case almost took a year. Now I am in medical debt and I have lost my job because it took so long and my FMLA ran out. I guess it is still a win in their book. Honestly don't waste your time.
