February 23, 2026 Kevin Bessant defended my 25-year-old grandson and his godmother in an assault and battery case in the city of Livonia. The judge was dirty the detective was dirty the Livonia Police were dirty and the prosecutor was dirty. My grandson and his godmother went up against an all white jury of 6 men and women. Even though my grandson and his godmother did not initiate the altercation, the white couple did, it didn't matter to the judge. The judge instructed the all white male and female jurors that they could not consider assault and battery as a defense when deliberating to convict my grandson and his godmother.
