Las Animas County District Atty

I have tried tirelessly to reach the DA. The Trinidad police department put a warrant out for my arrest without just cause. I called the DA because I’m going to sue the Trinidad police department yet three months go by and no return phone call. I call again. He’s out of the office on Thursdays in Walsenburg. I leave another message two months ago. No returned phone call. I call again today, again he’s in Walsenburg. I asked the receptionist can you ensure that I will get a return phone call . The receptionist states back to me.” I can’t make anyone call anyone”. What?? Is he not a professional and an official in the tiny town of Trinidad? I know Trinidad does things half assed and backwards however this is unacceptable. What kind of shady reasoning is that? I’m not OK with the answer I rec

I’m sick and tired of corrupt offices like Las Animas who hide behind fake administrative investigations (aka paid vacations). We all know that the county sheriffs are going to “investigate themselves and find no wrongdoing” and are only using this as a shield from public scrutiny. Thin blue line means people like Trujillo and Noel can do no wrong but us regular peasants are subject to death if we dare not use our blinkers for the correct amount of time. Remember when cops used to at least pretend to hold themselves to a higher standard?

Lt. Henry Trujillo needs to have charges brought for the tasing incident. If your office protects the officers involved then you are just as guilty as they are. It's time to rebuild our criminal justice system into one we can be proud of. Will you be part of the solution or just continue the problem?

This GUY is trying to put my son who is innocent, into jail for a Felony. I told them he did not attack me, but the D.A. won't listen. They are making up their own story. And trying him anyway! ANYWAY.

Everyone in this building is a disgrace and a waste of oxygen. They prosecute petty crimes but won't pursue charges or make an example of an over powered sherif
