I had a good discussion with John Lemay, an attorney who exclusively does bankruptcies from Oakdale. Not good for us regarding ou tenant from hell, but he is a very good man. He's done over 7000 bankruptcies since 2001. Knowledgeable and gives free consultations. I asked, for future clients, who to send his way and this is what he said: A good candidate is anyone that has debt close to the annual income. So, 80k in income and 60k in unsecured debt (credit cards, personal loans, etc..) is a good candidate. Or, someone that is being foreclosed on , we can time the BK to maximize the time in the house. Lamey law firm was a Godsend and the staff was superb. I was a little hesitate at first, do to the nature of a bankruptcy but Elaine, the wonderful attorney that represented me helped put my mind at ease.
