Charles provided legal counsel to me during my divorce and with child custody issues. He was thoughtful, responsive and available during a very difficult and confusing time. I felt like Charles was able to obtain a fair and equitable divorce settlement and helped me preserve significant visitation time with my children despite my hectic work schedule with required out of town travel. Judge Kochlacs is not a fair judge at all. I am a veteran doctor with a clean record and I feel discriminated against for being a non-white father. The other party lied, cheated, physically assaulted me, and connived against me with her family, and effectively manipulated this judge into doing their bidding. I held on to love and forgiveness as I tried to salvage my family when they held on to hate and greed. This attorney was appointed to me. If he is appointed to represent you in juvenile dependency court... RUN! If this man is appointed to you, and fails to represent you in court please turn him in to the OSB. We have rights and this is one attorney who failed to acknowledge mine. Instead he was emotionally abusive and discredited any information I presented to him. Truly he should not be appointed to represent any parents in court as he so callously has stated that DHS doesn't lie, nor do they fabricate stories to ensure their procurement of federal funding. I have used Charles many times in the past. He has been great resource for me and he helped me with my child custody issues which turned out for the best.
