It’s terrible that I asked for help in a case where my daughter and I are victims of stalking, assault, and slander. We have videos, texts, and actual hospital reports of the abuse to prove it. I received a letter stating “ Kansas Legal Services is not an entitlement agency” Kansas legal services has completely failed my daughter and me when we reached out for help as victims of stocking assault and slander despite having clear evidence through videos, text messages and documentation their intake department refused to review any of it they do not allow victims to speak with anyone live do not accept in person visits and make it impossible to truly explain your situation or present proof. In the last 6 years I’ve needed legal help for my custody case. I’ve requested help now 4 times! Once with a great paying job, once with a low paying job and twice unemployed. I don’t get it. Do I just happen to always hit the wrong time to request help? My domestic abuse advocate says in the 5 years of her job she’s NOT ONCE seen anyone in our county get legal help. 😑 real encouraging.

I called several yes and didn't get a reply. I called the Wichita office and explained. Finally I was able to speak with someone at the Salina office. I told them that I'd previously left information at their office, of my wishes. They said they didn't receive it, and for me to leave it again. When I'd not heard from them, I phone and the secretary said the attorney was out, not feeling well and working from home. I've still not heard from the office on my time sensitive matter.

Not very honest and straightforward with me. They don't give a person straight answers. Runaround, runaround, runaround, runaround as well. I've found other attorneys who are better for low and middle income people.

My daughter called and needed help with a divorce from Military spouse. They transfered her to Barton. Barton transfered back to Salina. She continued to call office for about a month. No help. Now...sadly she has headed back to mentally abusive spouse with 2 kids in tow. No way to get financial help without divorce. This is absolutely sickning...that they did not help her.
