I can not thank Wilson Ellis, Madeleine Nimbach and the staff enough for everything. A scared single mother who has never been through anything like this… is absolutely terrifying from the financial aspect to the legal stuff going on. The way Wilson has handled my case and has made me feel at ease almost the whole time is a huge blessing. There were times where I wanted to talk for a minute or email to clarify things or concerns and it was never a problem to speak about it and calm my nerves. They didn’t make me feel like a burden for all my questions and that I truly appreciated. A huge weight has been lifted and I am forever grateful for Kansas Legal Group being there every step of the way and for Wilson having my best interest at heart. They don’t want all your money. I really did like the first consultation and felt well taken cared of. Amanda seems very knowledgeable and professional. I did not appreciate the recurring outreach that I was charged for during downtimes of the case and the high charges for every phone call or simple questions. The worst part was the little helper at the front desk who would mock and giggle when I asked for my retainer back when the case was closed - “you may talk to Amanda first” - “I don’t because I don’t need to be charged another $70 for something you can just relay, the case is over and I’d like the rest of my retainer back.” Giggle, giggle and then no action was taken until I was forced to talk to the lawyer again… it’s been over three weeks since I’ve asked for my money back.

I had a very disappointing experience with Kansas Legal Group, specifically with attorney Igers. Over approximately seven months, I was charged well over $10,000 for ineffective representation. My case was handled in ways that went against my stated goals, motions were repeatedly denied, and communication was poor. I was also always charged for extended wait times for meetings that he scheduled, often waiting long periods before they began. Despite the lack of progress, I continued to be asked for more money. After hiring new counsel, the difference in competence was very clear. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm or attorney.
