I visited this law firm's website. I didn't fill out any forms, didn't create an account, didn't provide my email address—I simply browsed and left. Within minutes, I had a marketing email from them in my inbox. How? They use Constant Contact, which scraped my email address through cross-site tracking scripts without my knowledge or consent and shared it with the firm. This is a clear violation of the California Consumer Privacy Act. No disclosure. No consent. Just silent data harvesting. The irony? A law firm violating California privacy law. And now, to stop their spam, I'm expected to "unsubscribe" from something I never subscribed to in the first place. I will be reporting this to the California State Bar.
