Worst experience I've had on the most simple real estate transaction possible. We were told to come to closing with a check for a certain amount. We did and they asked for and accepted that amount the day of closing. 5 weeks later we get an email stating oops, we forgot to collect this additional amount. Nothing was ever discussed about this additional amount. Sloppy would be a nice way of describing how these folks do business.

If I could give a zero star i would. I have never called this law firm and had someone answer the phone. You have the choice of selecting 2 extensions to leave a message and their mailboxes are full. So unable to leave message. Called over 10 times yesterday through out the day and still unable to get anyone or leave a message. In the past when I had been able to leave a message prior to my closing, nobody returned the call. This happened twice to me. Guess you have to have cell phone numbers to actually use or reach someone at this law firm. Maybe they only take care of personal friends. So unprofessional!! I would search for another law firm that will actually take care of your questions and concerns.

You get there voicemail when you call. My client paid cash for a home and it is taking 5 days to get keys and fund. I asked why the delay. The response: Oops, we forgot to send the documents. Hopefully, I will be able to praise you one day. Everyone can change for the better.

In February 2024 I wrote Hornsby Title an earnest money check for a property that fell through on the sellers end ... Its now August 2024 and they still have not returned my money.

Our experience buying and selling our house, and other properties, using Hornsby Law Firm in Bolivar, Tn. has been outstanding. I would recommend them for anyone needing services in the future.
