I got trapped into a contract with genesis health clubs when I had just turned 18. I only went for 2 days, and somehow got charged over 1000 dollars for a gym I didn’t go to. I’ll never to business with anywhere that that family owns again!!!! Update: They didn’t get every single dollar they wanted and sent a second garnishment order for 15 dollars. Absolutely pathetic

I was given a garnishment letter due to a very old genesis contract I never paid on. When i asked if there was anything i could do to prevent the garnishment they worked with me and allowed me to pay a very reasonable amount of 90 dollars a month. I am close to paying it off and am thankful that they worked with me when they didn't have to.

Went to court to pay my $139 dollar debt and was told I would be contacted. Nine years later they contacted me by garnishing my check. Come to find out they where collecting for Genesis health club, I and took over someone elses account that's thethe address they ha on file is why they did not contact me, later the debt tripled. Not even my fault.They told me they garnish 25% of my check until paid. Well 25% is a lot when you are struggling to pay bills. They also said if there is a over payment they would mail it later. They wanted their money and took it. Now they owe me and it's not right. I would of paid the debt 9 years ago.

This is the firm that genesis uses. I got a membership in 2008 with the gym, went a handful of times and had to move, didn't cancel the membership and got sued for 1800. I hope all the businesses that the Steven's own go under and I hope they get in trouble for the shady shitbtheybdo at some point.

Highly unprofessional. Ignores statute of limitations and corrupts the law. When you request a hearing, they will deny it, but keep the claims. Just now getting garnishments from an unpaid Genesis Health Club membership from 2006, and won’t let me have my say? Right. Homolka law is just as shady as all of the Stevens’.
