Holly Chernoff, Attorney/Mediator

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided by Holly Chernoff. As a neutral third-party facilitator, she was expected to mediate and facilitate the return of my pre-marital and marital property. However, she failed to meet these expectations due to her inappropriate and unprofessional comments, inefficient file management, her inability to interpret and follow the law, and her lack of technological proficiency. Comments such as “Why did you marry the old fool to begin with?” assured me that she was more judge-mental than a neutral party. Her shortcomings resulted in excessive additional attorney fees, unnecessary delays, and expenses. She even attempted to charge me double what I had already paid her. Furthermore, she declined to meet with my daughter, whose property including

Holly did a wonderful job, I was married 25 years and was a stay at home mom. My husband handle everything. We just wanted a peaceful process and she provided this. She made sure she explained everything to me, understanding that much of it was new to me, she made sure I fully understood everything and was open to all our questions. If I have any legal matters in the future, I will definitely reach out. 😊

Disappointing conduct. As a neutral third party facilitator, her role is to provide an impartial space for couples going through divorce which in most cases, is an emotional process. Holly Chernoff stepped way over the line with her unsolicited opinion judging me for taking the decision of trusting and marrying this man, while I was directing my emotional questions towards him. I felt invalidated, disrespected, humiliated and had not other option but to leave the room without concluding the meeting. It makes me question whether there was some kind of agreement between my husband and her since he said he knew her from his 2nd divorce. I do not recommend her.

Holly Chernoff's professionalism and guidance towards a fair settlement was wonderful. Her ability to keep communications calm and civil was very helpful. She was easy to talk to for both myself and my former husband. She focuses on the facts and upholds the law to the letter. I am forever grateful for how fair, honest and knowledgeable she is. She truly cares about what she does, while keeping emotions out of the mediation discussions. Thank you for helping me through the most difficult situation I have ever had to experience.
