Hochsztein & Harrison - Jolly, PA

Fred Hochsztein is the trustee of a trust I am a part of (Jolly was also a nominated trustee). Fred has not once shown me or other parties of the trust the trust documents, despite knowing our address. The trustee before Fred was one of his clients for years, and he was nominated successor of the trust after she passed. He’s at best an unorganized and forgetful lawyer, and continued to deplete money from the trust (concerning attorney fees) until the very last minute concerning a lawsuit, until settling at the last minute. A large portion of the money from the trust will go to paying off Dane Stanish (who works at the same firm as Fred), who was his attorney in the lawsuit. The only reason I found out I was part of the trust in the first place is that a lawsuit was filed against the trust.

I sent a certified letter to Fred Hochsztein's law office that was received on May 5, 2025 requesting full disclosure of trust documents that I am entitled to under Florida Statutes Chapter 736 (Florida Trust Code). As of July 3, 2025 I have not received the trust documents I requested as well as a copy of the Last Will and Testament of the person who passed away in 2024. I only came to know about being in said trust when I was served papers suing me for monies owed to a reverse mortgage lender. Zero stars for zero ethics, but I was forced to give 1 star to review.

Hochsztein and Harrison is a firm I would trust with my family. Known them over 20 years. They are knowledgeable, effective, absolutely thorough, and empathic. If you know enough professionals in this field, you know how rare this combination is. The firm is a gem.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Attorney Fred Hochsztein who was referred by my family attorney Melvin Trute. I spoke to him regarding a guardianship matter. He was direct and to the point. His knowledge was priceless and saved me from a potentially costly issue had I gone ahead with the plans a different attorney had recommended. So I am very grateful for Mr. Hochsztein’s great advice.
