Hassler Kondras Miller LLP

I'm giving two stars because when meeting with Mr. Hassler, he was very nice, listened to everything we had to say, and was very personable. However, this office has a lot of communication issues internally. We came for a consult, supposed to be free, and were very concerned about confidentiality. Before we were able to decide whether to proceed with a court case, Mr. Hassler not only approved a bill for a free consultation, but allowed the staff to send it to the one person we did not want to find out about the case. I did address this breach of confidentiality with them and was sent an apology email. Unfortunately, I cannot trust a business that makes mistakes such as this. Confidentiality is the most important part of their job and since they couldn't accomplish that, they have lost my

I reached out for a consultation and nobody has returned my call after a week. The person that answered the call was very polite, however.

In 2024, Ms. Miller was assigned as the Guardian ad Litem in my custody case in Putnam County. In my experience, she failed to fulfill her duties as outlined by Indiana’s GAL guidelines. She did not interview key witnesses, review critical medical and school records, or address documented concerns I provided. Communications were minimal, and I was not given an opportunity to meaningfully respond to her findings before her report was submitted to the court. This lack of thoroughness and impartiality, in my view, resulted in a report that was incomplete and misleading, with significant consequences for my child and me. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ms. Miller for GAL appointments.

The lady on the phone was overly rude, talked over me, talked down to me and didn't let me finish what I'd said and then told me to go argue with her boss for 400 an hour. 10/10 the worst experience with a law office I've ever had an I'm a divorced male. Farther more, I understand she was outright nasty because I made the mistake of saying I was referred by A.T Ryan who works in the nonprofit sector. So I was typecast as someone 'too poor' to afford their services. Hence why she'd say such heinous things and look down on me for '400 an hour'.

Taryn Dissett is hands down the best attorney I've ever worked with. Not only does she display a vast amount of support and genuine care for her clients. She also handles business in a very efficient and effective manner.
