If it was possible, I would give Monica Gonzalez negative stars. Do not waste your time or money on her. She does NOT communicate whatsoever. She’s a joke. You can never get ahold of her, she never replies to emails or messages you leave with Kayla (if Kayla even answers the phone). In the court room she is a mess. She shows up last minute and barely reviews anything before going into the court room. It’s like she reviews your case as she’s sitting in front of the judge and flips through her notes like a maniac. She is completely and utterly unprepared for the case. Once she’s paid you don’t exist anymore.

If you are looking for an aggressive lawyer to get things done for you she is NOT it. Poor communication, never filed a thing I asked her to. Secretary rarely answers the phone. Very poor experience.

Got a recording of her talking to the cops in court while they said derogatory comments about her client. Continued a court case for an incarcerated client but never bothered to cancel or reschedule the transport. It's either she has too much on her plate (probably this) or she's lazy (probably not the case). She needs to lighten her work load.

Monica Gonzalez is one of the best attorneys in Tazewell County! The secretary Kayla is absolutely amazing in everything! Couldn't ask for better people!

To say this is the most unethical lawyer I have ever encountered is quiet a stretch. I have seen a few lawyers in my day but this was my worst experience by far. I'll leave it at that.
