I wish I could state my experience was great, however, it was anything but. I exchanged a couple emails with Catharine, going so far as soliciting referrals to local attorneys, and still came up without any assistance. I am a recent transplant to Merced. I contacted this office inquiring about obtaining assistance in completing my divorce case that was filed in another county. I inquired about consultation fees. After her response to my first email, I felt compelled to elaborate on my situation. Still no assistance. I would have paid for her services. I am well aware time is money. I am also aware each jurisdiction has rules specific to the area they serve. The rules of the state are not drastically different from county to county. I've gone to Cathy for assistance in getting my divorce forms filed. I attempted to start the process on my own, however, there were a lot of forms that needed to be filled out and filed in a certain order and timely matter.. I decided with my hectic schedule and extremely overloaded plate, that I was not able to take this lengthy process on alone. Thankfully Cathy has been amazing at making sure things were correctly done in order. She's been fantastic at understanding my situation and working with me. If anyone is in need of legal aid, I recommend you give her a try.

I was stressed out, going through nursing school, and had a lot going on. Cathy helped me out a lot. I got what I wanted with my custody battle against my ex. I also was able to get a restraining order against my ex cousin as well with Cathy’s help. Now I don’t need worry about my daughter and my own safety. I highly recommend Cathy.

Felt that Cathy wasn’t very helpful, empathetic, and patient with my father. Not understanding the legal system and language barrier is overwhelming enough. Felt like she was overwhelmed herself.
