If you are Latino and considering hiring this company, I strongly advise you to reconsider. I remained with them for two years, believing that my loyalty would encourage them to move my case forward. Unfortunately, the opposite happened. During that time, little to no meaningful progress was made on my case. Their lack of action gave me serious concerns and led me to suspect that something may have been happening behind the scenes with my workers’ compensation insurance company. While I cannot prove this, in my opinion, it felt as though my interests were not being fully represented. What I can prove is that virtually nothing was accomplished during those two years. It’s been a year since I’ve hired them and nothing has been accomplished. My emails get ignored and when I finally do get thru to them they tell me they are working on things and never follow up. I’m extremely disappointed and feel like I’m being gaslit. I have no idea who my actual attorney is and when I asked Royce Roxas he completely ignored and never answered. During my deposition, my counsel didn’t ask a single question and basically let the WC attorney steamroll me. I can’t speak to the WC company because I have an attorney so I’m basically just waiting for something to happen and am not receiving care for my injury. I feel like I would have been better off handling this myself. Extremely disappointed!

I hired Golden State Workers’ Comp and attorney Ryan Davis for my WC case (bilateral carpal tunnel). In my experience, he avoided the hard work and pushed a quick, low first offer. • I had ~$8,000 in late TTD that should have been penalized, yet I kept being told to “sign, sign, sign” a $25,000 settlement based on 10% PD. • That 10% was calculated using the wrong PD schedule—4 weeks per percentage point instead of 5 weeks per point. • I later learned the opposing attorney said I was at 12% and asked for my settlement demand—a fact my attorney never told me. At 12% on the correct schedule (5 weeks/pt), that’s 60 weeks, which came to about $17,400—but I was only ever pushed toward the flat $25,000. • Worse, after fees/costs and offsets, my take-home on that $25,000 would have been around $11
