My review is for Meagan Moodie of GEM Law, the M in the GEM. I dealt with her as opposing counsel for more than three years, and my experience was overwhelmingly negative. As a self‑represented parent, I found her communication consistently unproductive and needlessly confrontational. In my view, straightforward matters were repeatedly pushed into court instead of being handled through reasonable dialogue, which increased both cost and conflict. Based on my experience, her approach made effective co‑parenting far harder than it needed to be and prolonged issues that could have been resolved quickly. Anyone considering hiring her should be aware that the style of representation I witnessed prioritized escalation over cooperation, and it significantly impacted the overall process.

Ms. Landauer was extremely professional and thorough. Her recommendations as a parenting coordinator were clear, concise, and evidence-based. Even in the midst of a high-conflict dynamic, she got to the heart of the issues quickly and directly. I recommend her very highly.

I highly recommend Ashley and I will for ever be grateful for the battle she went through for me. We were put on the spot with what I would describe as court room surprise attack with a lot at risk. On the fly she prepared a counter and defense over lunch. She came back and knocked it out of the park ending with the Judge admonishing the other side and us essentially winning. It was amazing to see a super talented attorney in the trenches in a high pressure situation. Hope for the best and for things to go smoothly but if it turns to a fight you want a monster on your side. Thanks Ashley. I'm still grateful!

Overall, I had a good experience with Heather, but I believe that she could have done more for me since we had everything in hand to get sole custody of my son who now is stuck with mom more days than he wants to, his mom is abusive. The bills are big and get bigger towards the end of the hearing. After the hearing I recieved at least 2 more bills. I wish any attorney would care more about the best interest of a child and not the best interest of their clients.

I had a wonderful experience working with Chelsea at GEM, she did well in helping me out and getting everything put together. If I HAD to pick one thing I didn't experience well, it was that I didn't know what was happening when there were some stretches of time with no communication/updates, and I could have reached out to get a idea of what was going on, and a few instances where I didn't understand the process we were going through, but that's why I needed to work with this company! You guys helped get me through it, thank you.
