Worst experience. We should have done our due diligence and read reviews prior to using this office. We had settled my MIL's estate and filed the paperwork at the courthouse on our own. It was a very small estate. Because there was cash involved, the court made us obtain a lawyer to get a bond for the cash even though we had already done the work. This was an open and shut process and should have cost us about 1500. Well two years later the bill was up to 6,000. Our case sat in filing cabinet for months because they had a paralegal quit and couldn't find the paperwork. Only after I had to fly up to north Carolina to show up in person r did they Magically find the paperwork, but then billed us again to refile all of the paperwork. Now they are trying to charge my sister who is in California

This office did a will for my father. Three years later things changed, and they wouldn't even schedule an appt for my dad to come in and update will. They don't return calls, they tried to tell my dad who could be in a meeting with him, even though he wanted me in the meeting. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and do poor but expensive work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Go to Parker Law in Rocky Mount they helped us immediately. Fields and Cooper the most worthless, unfriendly, and unhelpful law office I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to.

Our experience was with Atty Rakesh Sehgal they call “Rock”. We hired him to take care of the deeds for a division of property after the death of a family member. Months later when we finally had the survey part handled, he had lost copies of the will, names were misspelled on paperwork that had to be retyped while we waited. He never told us that all spouses also needed to be present until the day of and not everyone could come. Just not prepared. Afterwards we had call and ask him to file the deeds with the office across the street. He said the register of deeds were behind yet I called and they had never been brought over. He then filed them the next day after lying. Four months later, I have called 3 times and left messages with the office for him to call me back about an issue that h

If you are buying or selling a house, I do not recommend this firm, waste of time and so much hassle. Please look somewhere else.

The law firm seems to be ok with attorney Sehgal bullying & harassing, lying, attempting Rent Retaliation until I made a complaint to NC Atty General , & trashing our names in court . I only gave a star or otherwise it wouldn’t let me post this. Ruuuun!!!
