Customer Reviews
This firm didn't send try to help me with my employment issues. It took me longer to write up my issue than it did for their legal aid to reject my case. Seems like they are only interested in quick, big wins. Shame.
I was fortunate enough to reach out to a family friend who referred me to Michael Elliott after I filed a formal complaint with the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) under the Retaliatory Employment Discrimination Act (REDA). On November 3, 2023, NCDOL issued a Right-to-Sue letter confirming reasonable cause, giving me 90 days to take legal action. I was overwhelmed and running out of time. Michael didn’t just take my case to take a check — he took it seriously. Even during Christmas week, he was emailing, calling, and reviewing everything with his partners before deciding to move forward. He was honest and transparent from the start — letting me know there were no guarantees, and it wouldn’t be easy. That honesty is rare and meant everything. From the first day through the fina
I am compelled to share my experience with Michael Elliot regarding his handling of a legal matter that raises serious concerns about adherence to professional and ethical standards. As a pro se litigant, I reached out to Mr. Elliot for a response regarding a case, but my efforts have been met with silence. This lack of communication is troubling, especially since all attorneys practicing in North Carolina are required to uphold the state's legal and ethical standards. Ignoring a pro se litigant not only reflects poorly on professional integrity but may also constitute a violation of North Carolina law, particularly if it pertains to procedural fairness or the attorney's obligations to the court and opposing parties. Regardless of one's representation status, every individual has a right
While the need to work with Michael Elliott was unfortunate, I couldn't be happier with the service provided to resolve my issues. Michael and Sharon communicated well, were very accessible, provided assistance as promised, and were able to help me achieve the desired result. I would not hesitate recommending Michael and, should I need legal services again, EMP Law will be the first call.
I cannot speak highly enough of EMP Law Firm. When no one else was willing to take my case, they stepped in without hesitation. Their dedication and expertise ultimately led to a positive resolution that I’m extremely grateful for. If you’re looking for a law firm that will truly fight for you, EMP Law Firm is the one to call.
