Long story short, my husband and I were forced to close on our house back home during the week we were on the Vineyard, with a Vineyard attorney who was comfortable with facilitating the out-of-state transaction. Our seller's title company was a nightmare to deal with, and held up the paperwork until the final hour and beyond. But once they received all the documents, the whole office rallied to get our closing done.
