It seems like it would be best practice to provide a referral rather than saying “We suggest you contact other attorneys in the area that may be able to assist you.” If you don’t know who can help, you think I do? In my opinion, it seems like professional laziness. Maybe you’re too busy? I don’t know. Good luck with future potential clients.
