I hired Dubno to handle a co-op purchase. While he initially seemed professional, the process stalled for two months despite repeated assurances when i called that everything was on track. The seller’s agent eventually contacted me asking about the delay. When I finally received a contract to sign, there was no explanation as to what I was signing, and another attorney later pointed out several red flags. It appeared that no meaningful due diligence had been done, including obtaining the standard co-op board questionnaire. Much of the mismanagement seemed to stem from his paralegal who seemed to be in complete control.
