I would not recommend Dortch Law for real estate closings. My experience with Pavielle Dortch was extremely disappointing. Throughout the closing process, communication was poor and unclear. I often felt uninformed and had to follow up multiple times for basic updates. During our interactions, her demeanor came across as rude and unprofessional, which made what should have been an exciting milestone unnecessarily stressful. In addition, there were moments where she appeared unfamiliar with certain aspects of the process, which raised concerns about competence and preparedness. Customer service matters, especially during something as important as a home closing. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations.

I’ve worked with Dortch Law Group on multiple property closings as a buyer and as a real estate agent. Additionally, our team routinely consult with Pavielle as part of our design and permitting business. She and her team handle complex title issues with skill and precision, making every transaction smooth and stress-free. Communication is clear, timely, and professional, and her poise and expertise at the table make even tricky situations manageable. We trust her enough to refer our own clients, which says it all.

DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO HOLD YOUR EARNEST MONEY. YOU WILL REGRET IT! Delays & gross incompetence! Blows my mind, especially when everything is in writing. BEWARE! $15K of cash in limbo...may never get our money back. Having to go to court just to get our money, even though there were contracts signed by both parties. A lawyer is supposed to know exactly what to do if a contract is not broken or is broken. At least they finally responded by sending it to the courts to work out, even though it took 2 weeks and she kept missing her own deadlines to settle the matter. So for that, she gets a 1.5 star in lieu of a 1 star. I would not be surprised if the judge becomes frustrated that she did not know what to do even though everything was in writing and clear as day. But, wow!

We had a very poor experience with Dortch law on a recent closing. Poor communication, lots of errors, lots of excuses. 7 day delay on closing. Little remorse for that. There are plenty of good closing attorneys in Atlanta. Go find a different one.

Run away. Despite trying for 3 full business days, this attorney is impossible to reach for basic information, ie - "has earnest money been delivered?" I sent multiple emails over a 3 day period and called repeatedly during their reduced business hours. The receptionist can't access this basic information and no one would return my calls or emails despite earnest money being a big deal. Is the buyer in breach of contract? No one knows. I wish I could leave 0 stars for their lack of professionalism.
