Extremely disappointed with my experience at Collins Ritchie & Ervin, specifically with attorney Alex. Communication was consistently lacking. Important documents and time-sensitive information were not shared with me unless I followed up multiple times. As a client, I should not have to chase my own attorney for updates or discovery responses. Billing was another major concern. I noticed an error involving 2.8 billed hours. Although it was corrected, the situation raised serious concerns about how time was being tracked. At no point did I receive a clear or transparent explanation of what work was being performed or why certain hours were billed. Mr. Ritchie was compassionate, empathetic and assiduous in processing all the documentation required to obtain a five year DVRO against my ex-girlfriend; he was very communicable throughout the entire domestic violence restraining order process and even notified me the day my ex-girlfriend was released from Sacramento County Jail after his services had been effectively rendered which is an incontrovertibly exemplary business practice. The ultimate outcome was very fortuitous for myself and Matthew even reimbursed the remaining money left to me that I had compensated him on retainer! I would emphatically recommend him
