I was looking for legal and estate planning advice for a privately held, multi-generation manufacturing company. Cavitch was selected because of Jim Aussems' experience working with small businesses and assisting with owner transitions. Jim has helped developed a plan for current ownership, and a succession plan for the businesses continued success.

This firm mismanaged my parents trust and failed to file paperwork in a timely manner. Many mistakes were made which led to a lawsuit that lasted over 4 years. We had to hire other counsel to defend our parents trust. When trial ended, they sent us a bill for everything they mishandled. Our attorney inquired about their bill and they never responded. We assumed the issue was over. Five months later, we get a bill from a debt collector and a very rude phone call demanding payment. They are very unprofessional and I would not recommend them for Trust work. Very sloppy with paperwork.
