I hired this attorney to represent me in a family law case and it’s because of him we started the Respondent Advocacy Project. I’m not sure where to begin so I’ll keep this brief. James Carroll is one of the most unethical, immoral men we have ever come across. Egregious is the only word that comes to mind. I don’t think this man has any clue what his ethical obligations are as an attorney. I’m guessing a few of the good reviews are just easy cases. Because there’s absolutely no way this man has more than one star. Avoid him at all costs.

If you are ready to spend money, have your time wasted, & get screwed over I highly recommend Carroll Law Office said nobody ever. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 they were great at answering there phone & then all of the sudden they couldn't be reached to return my phone calls or my multiple emails with time stamps. They also told me I had court hearings that never happened. I am a service manager at an automotive shop and if I ran our business the way this business run we'd be out of business do better or just quit while you're ahead you'd be doing yourself a favor.

I hired James Carroll to represent me in a restraining order case, and I left the process feeling unrepresented and unprepared. He did not meet with me prior to any trial, did not respond to most of my emails or calls, and submitted only a small portion of the evidence I gave him. In court, he did not cross-examine the opposing party and asked me very few questions while I was on the stand. As a result, the judge only heard one side of the story, and I was left to deal with the consequences. I am now pursuing an appeal due to the way the case was handled. Please do your research and consider speaking with more than one attorney before moving forward.

While my experience with the Carroll Law Office had some challenges, I appreciate that they ultimately took steps to address and resolve the concerns I raised. I'm 75 and getting a divorce! Never in my wildest imagining did I think this milestone-like event would fall at my door, at my age.. but here it is.
