Our closing was the week after the New Year. We had set that closing date in October. It shouldn't have been a surprise that the holidays were happening in the two weeks before our closing. So when my loan officer called me 1 business day before our closing saying they just got the title from the attorney, I was upset. When I called and asked what happened, they said they had to order things and the holidays delayed it. Well my loan officer had another closing the same day as ours and all the paperwork was completed well in advance for that one (different location and attorney). The amount of extra work my loan officer and her team had to put in to make our closing still happen as scheduled was so impressive. I wish that Butler & College had communicated better and set proper expectations.
