We just sold a home and the buyers chose to use Steven Bell and his office. As a seller, they DO NOT wire your proceeds. They will write you a check "after the deed records". I was told to be at their office at 3pm by my RE agent, as the deed should be recorded and my check should ready. I arrived at 3pm, but the Bell office told my agent the deed hasn't recorded yet. After waiting in the parking lot for 45 minutes, I decided to check online Onslow County records. And, the deed had, in fact already been recorded. I walked into the office because my agent told me to (after I forwarded her the screenshot of the web page). I let them know the deed was already recorded and I was there to pick up my proceeds. I was told the processor was not done disbursing the funds. So I waited another 30 mi

Closed 12.31 2024 Very good experience. Everything was explained with much detail, and there was no apparent rush. A stack of papers turned into one last final paper to sign, and there were no issues. I'm glad that I was connected with this office. I recommend that if it is possible and you want a smooth transaction, then reach out to this office. Many people have a story to share about how long and unbearable their home signing process was with their attorneys, but I believe that you will not have a negative story to share.
