Please don’t make the mistake I did and not read reviews before retaining Debra. Dealing with Debra and her team was one of the worst experiences of my life. After the tragic death of my father we retained Debra to handle the probate process for us. She and her team, are rude, and they do not communicate. Any question asked of them is treated like the hugest inconvenience to respond to. Trying to navigate the grief of losing my dad while dealing with a rude, unapologetic attorney was awful. The worst part is that I was PAYING HER an exorbitant amount of money for her to treat me so poorly. I do not recommend this attorney.

We trusted Amen’s Law and Debra Amen to handle my father’s estate after his tragic passing because she had helped with his estate planning. I wish we had read the many negative reviews before retaining her. Communication was almost non-existent unless we initiated it, and when we did, responses were often short and dismissive. Debra made several poor and unnecessary decisions, such as insisting additional co-administrators be added to the estate when that was not required. This created significant delays and complications when trying to sell my father’s house and open the estate account. The billing felt excessive and unreasonab

She is a great lawyer!! Of course I would never pay a dime to have her represent me she did help me out a lot. She would give my daughters mom terrific advice that ended up hurting her in court and did nothing for her. She could’ve done her homework a little better but in all she’s really great if your looking to get nothing out of your court case.

Go someplace else... Anyplace! My divorce took over two years. No children, No real property. Disabled, living with son and his family. Fourteen months after filing got to court The local judge showed favoritism to respondent Was awarded support but took another month for that. Six months later support stopped and Deborah did not push the issue Married nine years and got support under $800 a month for six months! I was then forced to also return a Christmas gift given to me two years before the filing. Papers signed in December and no matter how many times i asked for my name back it was omitted !!! Also with the inclusion of a small settlement. Six months later, NO settlement and plenty of excuses! She is too timid for aggressive argument in court. Gives in to respondent . And stopped al

I was told to hire a male lawyer. Because female lawyers are not as aggressive. After my first case was won by Debra. I thought of the saying. “A fool speaks without thinking, The wise think before speaking and fools can look wise if they don’t speak.” She is truly wise, that’s why she doesn’t need to be aggressive.
