I was represented in a DUI case, basically put into a program I could have requested myself as a first time offender and wasted $2500. My advice don't drink and drive. If you do, do not knee jerk react as I did. Do your research, remain calm, and clear of mind and then weigh your legal options. When you decide on a lawyer point your arrow in another direction and find competent, compassionate representation. Good luck.

I thought I was making the right choice by hiring Paul Aaroe, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me. Perhaps he does a better job in Pennsylvania where he is located, but for my situation in NJ, he did virtually nothing that helped. Hired him for 2nd offense DUI. He gave me his speech about second offenses, what it means, and why it costs more- fine, I get it. However, when it came time to make a plea deal, he negotiated with the prosecutor as if it was a first offense. I guess the prosecutor believed him and just never checked to confirm. Fast forward to my court date and the judge goes through the entire plea and makes me admit guilt for the agreed upon penalty, which in NJ is fairly lenient. I didn’t know how he got it done, but that’s what he gets paid for so I just trusted h

I had an appointment with Nancy. She was rude and condescending, no empathy. She made me waste 3 days when I could have been looking for a kinder more professional lawyer. She made me drive 45 minutes to her office and then the drive back 45 minutes for nothing!!!!! I thought she was going to be nicer but I was obviously wrong….. 😑 She lacks people skills and compassion. This is so sad. What a shame the least she could do is treat people with decency and respect and dignity, but she lacks those qualities. I’m very disappointed in her😢 I really thought she was going to be different.
